What is TCA?
The TCA 10% light strength peel is perfect for first-time TCA users looking for something that will penetrate deeper than an AHA peel. This peel produces noteworthy skin brightening and tightening, and will also address deeper wrinkles, sagging skin, and texture issues.
Our TCA 10% peel contains Trichloroacetic Acid, also known as TCA, which is an effective chemical agent used to exfoliate and renew skin. TCA can be used to exclusively peel isolated areas of the skin, but it is important to note that with applying any peel, it is important to first begin building up the skin’s tolerance by using a daily exfoliator for about a week prior to peel application. Higher strengths of TCA peels (20%+) are NOT recommended for darker skin tones due to the increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
DIRECTIONS
1. Apply Numbing Cream to the desired surface area before peel application.
2. READ INSTRUCTIONS
(included with all TCA Peel purchases) Clean and dry skin
3. Apply Prep Solution to dissolve oil and remove dirt and debris from skin to maximize the chemical peel process. This allows the acid from the peel to be distributed more evenly, helping prevent any hyperpigmentation issues.
4. Apply Petroleum Jelly with a swab in the corners of the nose, mouth, eyes, and under the eyelids
5. First, do a PATCH TEST on the skin closest to the desired area. Apply TCA 15% Peel evenly 1-3 times
6. Apply Post-Peel Neutralizer to stop the peel process from processing further into your tissues and to help adjust your skin’s pH back to normal. Rinse off with cold water and gently pat dry with a towel. Apply Aqua for a few days later when skin begins to dry and flake.
7. Wait 3-4 days to apply moisturizer when skin begins to peel. Wear sunscreen 30+ SPF for the first 2-3 weeks post peel.
